Siraha: One person was killed after being struck by lightning at Jogiyatol in Siraha Municipality-19 on Sunday. Police said that 50-year-old Sulenadevi Mandal died on the spot after being struck by lightning while collecting grass. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office in Siraha, Birendra Kumar Paswan, stated that the lightning incident occurred when the woman was cutting grass in the farm.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the local authorities have been alerted about the incident, and efforts are underway to raise awareness about safety measures during thunderstorms. The authorities emphasize the importance of staying indoors and avoiding open fields during lightning storms to prevent such tragic accidents.
