Kathmandu: The Nepali Army (NA) has arrested 26 individuals involved in a looting spree across different parts of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur districts. The arrests took place last night as the individuals took advantage of an adverse situation, according to the NA.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepali Army reported that 21 people were apprehended while looting properties in the Bouddha area and Hotel Hyatt in Kathmandu, as well as at the Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Radheradhe, Bhaktapur. Additionally, five others were arrested for their participation in a heist at the Rastriya Banijya Bank in New Baneshwor.
