Kathmandu: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) that has remained shut since Monday afternoon will remain closed till the evening today. TIA was shut owing to increasing smoke billowing in the Kathmandu Valley due to the arson carried out during the recent protests here.
According to National News Agency Nepal, TIA Spokesperson Rinji Sherpa stated that the flights to and from the airport have been closed until a next decision. However, emergencies and medical flights will be carried out. Prior to this, it was closed for 12:00 noon today.
