Naubasta: Five persons died and seven others were injured in a clash among the juveniles at Naubasta-based Juvenile Correction Home.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Jailer of Naubasta Jail, Jalandhar Bhusal, stated that the clash occurred when the juvenile delinquents attempted to escape after breaking the gate.
Out of 585 prisoners, 149 detainees and 76 from the Juvenile Correction Home managed to flee. Bhusal mentioned that the situation arose due to prisoners and juvenile delinquents being housed together.
All the injured individuals have been admitted to Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital and are receiving treatment at various health institutions across the district.
