Kathmandu: The Nepali Army has requested the immediate return of arms and ammunition looted during the movement led by Gen Z. The Nepali Army’s Directorate of Public Relations has issued a statement asking for the return of these items to the security agencies.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Army has warned of potential damage to life and property if the weapons are misused. Legal action will be taken if any unauthorized person is found possessing arms and ammunition. Furthermore, the Army has requested that security forces’ uniforms not be used without authorization.
The Army has also cautioned against using unauthorized uniforms of security agencies during this sensitive period. The security forces, including the army, have recovered a total of 31 weapons. This includes 23 weapons from different locations in Kathmandu and eight from Pokhara, along with magazines and ammunition packets, recovered from last night until this morning.
