Kathmandu: Following the GenZ protest, the Nepali Army has reported that 97 guns were recovered from those looted from various security offices across the country.
According to National News Agency Nepal, four prisoners who escaped from the central prison in Sundhara and three juvenile detainees who fled from the Child Correction Home in Silgadhi, Doti during the protest have been apprehended, as reported by the NA’s Public Relations and Information Directorate. Additionally, 39 inmates who escaped from the Gajuri prison of Dhading and 16 juvenile detainees missing from the Child Correction Home in Daduwa, Banke were taken back into custody by the army.
The NA has reported that inmates who attempted to break out of the district prison in Banke, Nepalgunj by setting a fire were brought under control. One inmate was injured while containing the situation.
Eight socket bombs found at Banepa-9, Kavrepalanchok, were safely disposed of.
