Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the monsoon’s low-pressure trough is currently situated around its average position, impacting weather patterns across the country. The department forecasts generally cloudy conditions nationwide today, with an expectation of moderate rainfall in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, some places in the Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with a few locations in other regions, are also likely to experience moderate showers.
According to National News Agency Nepal, heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated areas within the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces. The weather is expected to remain predominantly cloudy throughout the night, with moderate rainfall projected in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Few locations in the remaining hills and Terai regions may also experience similar weather conditions.
The forecast further predicts heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions as weather conditions evolve.
