Finance Minister Khanal Discusses Measures for Private Sector Safety and Investment

Kathmandu: Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal held a discussion with representatives of business entities on how the present economic crisis could be tackled with safety to the private sector and restoration of an investment atmosphere.

According to National News Agency Nepal, during a meeting held at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, the discussion focused on measures to ensure safety for the private sector and create an investment-friendly environment. President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, highlighted that issues such as safety, extension of the tax payment deadline, grants, and facilitation through Nepal Rastra Bank to simplify insurance claims and credit flow were significant points in the discussion.

President Dhakal informed the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that the Finance Minister took the matters concerning the private sector positively and directed the immediate implementation of some of the issues discussed. The recent Gen-Z protests have led to the vandalization and torching of various business complexes and houses of businessmen, prompting the need for urgent measures.
