MCA-Nepal Finalizes Contract for Key Transmission Line Construction Under MCC


Kathmandu: The Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA-Nepal) has signed a contract for the construction of a 117-kilometer transmission line under the Power Transmission Project of the MCC Nepal Compact.



According to National News Agency RSS, this agreement marks the completion of all construction contracts for the 315-kilometer power transmission line to be built under the MCC Nepal Compact. The new 117-kilometer line will extend from the sub-station currently under construction at Lapsiphedi to the Hetauda sub-station in Makawanpur, passing through the Ratmate sub-station in Nuwakot.



The project contract is valued at 766.50 million US dollars. The agreement was signed by Khadga Bahadur Bista, Executive Director of MCA-Nepal, and Nirman Gauli, a representative of the construction company.
