Kathmandu: Four Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to the rank of Additional Inspector General (AIG). A meeting of the promotion committee convened today at the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss the promotions.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the DIGs recommended for promotion are Sushil Singh Rathore, Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, Himalaya Kumar Shrestha, and Dambar Bahadur BK. The recommendation was made by the promotion committee, which includes Inspector General of Police Chandra Kuber Khapung, who also serves as the Member Secretary of the committee.
The recommendations were based on the criteria outlined in Subsection (4) of Rule 27 of the Police Regulations, 2071, which has undergone amendments. The decision marks a significant step in the careers of the four senior officers as they move towards higher responsibilities within the Nepal Police.
