Nepal Levels Series in Women’s T20I with Fourth-Match Win Over Malaysia


Kathmandu: Nepal has won the fourth match of the Women’s Twenty20 International Series, defeating Malaysia by six wickets in today’s match held in Malaysia. This victory has leveled the five-match series 2-2 against Malaysia.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Nepal lost the first match to Malaysia by three runs but bounced back to win the second match by six wickets. However, they were defeated by 13 runs in the third match. In today’s game, Nepal successfully chased the 112-run target set by Malaysia, achieving it in 17.3 overs with the loss of four wickets.



For Nepal, Captain Indu Barma led the charge with an unbeaten 48 runs in 39 balls, while Rubina Chhetri contributed 23 runs in 23 balls. On the Malaysian side, Nur Dania Syuhada, Mahira Izzati, and Ainna Hamizah each took one wicket.



Malaysia, having elected to bat first after winning the toss, scored 111 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing five wickets. Mas Elysa was the top scorer with an unbeaten 36 runs, followed by Mahira’s 18 runs and Nur Dania’s 15 runs. Nepal’s Kabita Kunwar was the standout bowler, taking three wickets, while Puja Mahato and Kabita Joshi chipped in with one wicket each. The series is set for an exciting conclusion with the final match scheduled for Wednesday.
