Biratnagar: The Koshi province government has initiated efforts to improve health services in districts affected by recent monsoon disasters by deploying a team of doctors starting today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Information Officer at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Kenin Rai, announced the plan to send teams comprising doctors and representatives from the provincial ministry of health and population, health directorate, and department of supply management to the disaster-affected areas.
Dr. Rai stated that three teams are set to depart this morning to the districts of Ilam, Panchthar, Morang, Sunsari, and Udayapur. The teams are tasked with raising public awareness about preventing epidemics and infectious diseases, gathering data on health issues faced by the affected populations, and providing necessary assistance.
