Kathmandu: Central Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has emphasized the need for an interim government to establish robust security measures to ensure the success of the upcoming March 5 election. Speaking at a party program on Sunday, Chairman Yadav highlighted the importance of political participation, stressing that a successful election is contingent upon the government engaging in dialogue with political parties.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Yadav advocated for political stability through the adoption of a system featuring a directly elected President, suggesting this as a necessary correction in governance. He attributed the previous government’s misgovernance, which led to a Gen-Z protest toppling it in just two days, as a factor contributing to poverty.
Co-Chair of the party, Rakam Chemjong, noted that recent protests have targeted corruption, emphasizing the need to institutionalize the achievements of the Gen-Z protest. During the program, Province Chairman of the Party in Koshi Province, Dipak Yakhya, along with other leaders, discussed party activities and the impact of recent protests.
