Kathmandu: Police have arrested two people on the charge of involvement in human organ trafficking. A team of District Police Range, Kathmandu nabbed two individuals accused of luring gullible people with false promises and taking them to India and allegedly selling off their kidneys.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai stated that the arrested individuals are Motilal Tamang, 34, from Manthali Municipality-6 in Ramechhap district, who is currently residing in Budhanilakantha of Kathmandu district. Additionally, police apprehended Narayan Ban, 47, from Itahari Municipality in Sunsari district, as reported by SP Bhattarai, who is also the Spokesperson at the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
Bhattarai shared that both suspects have been sent to the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau in Babarmahal for further investigation and necessary legal action.
