Kathmandu: Madan Budha of Achham, who had been staging a fast-unto-death demanding representation of Sudurpaschim in the incumbent government, has broken the hunger strike. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal facilitated the end of Budha’s protest by offering him water, as confirmed by Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the Spokesperson at District Police Range, Kathmandu.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Budha had been protesting at Maitighar Mandala for the past four days with a set of three-point demands. In response to his demonstration, Home Minister Aryal assured that action would be taken against those found guilty, as petitions have already been filed by the victims.
