Kathmandu: The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Nepal, Rob Fenn, along with his delegation, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki today. During the meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, both parties discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Karki emphasized that promoting good governance and ensuring the successful conduct of the upcoming election were the main priorities of the current government, which was formed under exceptional circumstances. She reaffirmed the government’s firm commitment to holding the election in a free, fair, and impartial manner on the scheduled date of March 5, 2026.
The discussions also highlighted the longstanding and cordial relationship between Nepal and the United Kingdom, a bond that dates back to historic times. Both sides expressed mutual interest in further strengthening these ties in the future.
Ambassador Fenn extended his best wishes for Prime Minister Karki’s successful tenure and assured her that the British government is ready to provide necessary support to Nepal in the process of conducting the election.
