Sankhuwasabha: Police here have arrested an inmate who escaped from Nakkhu jail, Lalitpur. The arrested individual is Bishal Bishwokarma, 27, a resident of Khandbari municipality-8, Sankhuwasabha.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Bishwokarma, who was serving a jail term in Nakkhu on a rape charge, managed to flee the jail during the Gen-Z protest on September 8-9. A team mobilized from the District Police Office apprehended him based on a tip-off, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kumar Prasad Mainali, revealed. Further investigation is underway, Mainali added.
Bishwokarma is scheduled to be sent back to Nakkhu jail, Lalitpur after coordinating with the jail administration.
