Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called on citizens to unite with determination to achieve the national aspirations of peace, prosperity, and good governance. In her message on the occasion of Tihar, Mha Pooja, Nepal Sambat 1146, Chhath, and other festivals, she extended her best wishes to Nepalis at home and abroad.
According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Karki emphasized the importance of unity in challenging times, urging everyone to work towards a brighter future for Nepal by overcoming frustrations and misconceptions. She assured that the current government is striving to create a conducive environment for elections, promising a stable government within six months, with political dialogue and law and order progressing satisfactorily.
The Prime Minister outlined the government’s key responsibilities, including conducting free, fair, and fearless elections on March 5, 2026, taking decisive action against corruption, and investigating the suppression and violence during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9. PM Karki reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive, transparent, and responsive governance, respecting the demands of the Gen-Z protests.
She highlighted the significance of the festivals as symbols of hope, trust, and prosperity, celebrating the victory of light over darkness, hope over frustration, and justice over injustice, aligning with the aspirations of good governance and development inspired by the Gen-Z protests.
