Gorkha: CPN (Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the necessity of holding elections in the current political scenario, stating that elections are essential for protecting the Constitution and democracy.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dahal, while addressing a party program in Gorkha on Sunday, asserted the importance of not avoiding elections. He highlighted the need to pressure the government to create a conducive environment for polling, describing the election as the optimal solution to the nation’s political challenges.
Dahal further noted that the conditions required for conducting elections are gradually improving. He reiterated the importance of conducting the elections on the scheduled date and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the demands of the Gen Z movement, such as a directly elected executive chief and a fully proportional electoral system, which have been part of the party’s agenda from the outset.
