Continuous Decline in Gold Prices Observed Over Four Days


Kathmandu: The price of gold has been continuously falling this week. Along with the decline in international market rates, the price of gold has been continuously decreasing in the domestic market as well for the past four days.



According to National News Agency Nepal, on Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 241,900 per tola (11.66 grams), dropping by Rs 11,600 per tola compared to the previous rate. It further decreased by Rs 2,000 per tola on Monday and fell again by Rs 2,900 on Tuesday, bringing the price down to Rs 237,000 per tola.



The price of the yellow metal further fell today and it is being transacted for Rs 236,300 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.



However, the price of silver has slightly increased today compared to the previous day. The silver price has increased by Rs 45 per tola compared to Tuesday and is now set at Rs 2,965 per tola.



In the international market, gold is being traded at USD 3,960 per ounce.
