Sundarharaincha Experiences Heaviest Rainfall on Record


Sundarharaincha: Sundarharaincha of Morang recorded the highest rainfall on Friday, registering 252.4 millimeters. This significant amount of rainfall was noted as extremely heavy by Dinkar Kayastha, the Information Officer of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.



According to National News Agency Nepal, other regions also experienced substantial rainfall. Jhapa recorded 175 millimeters, while Ilam saw 158 millimeters of rain over the last 24 hours. The Department’s records, as of 10:45 pm on Friday, indicated Gorkha district received 190 millimeters of rainfall.



Additional rainfall measurements included Saptari with 156 millimeters, Udayapur with 102 millimeters, Manang with 115 millimeters, Sunsari and Lamjung each with 82 millimeters, and Nuwakot with 89 millimeters.
