Dhaka: Nepal has made a special presentation about tourism destinations at the recently held 13th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) in Dhaka. On this occasion, Acting Director of the Nepal Tourism Board, Sunil Sharma, delivered a detailed presentation about Nepal’s ‘once in a lifetime’ tourism destinations.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, emphasized the historical, cultural, and people-to-people relations between Nepal and Bangladesh, highlighting the need to further strengthen tourism exchange. President of Tour Operator Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), Md Rafeuzzaman, and Director Md Taslim Amin (Shovan) described Nepal as a natural and adventurous destination, as noted by Sharma.

The event featured Nepali students in Dhaka presenting folk cultural performances, which are believed to help further strengthen cultural programs between the two countries. Different sessions including B2B interaction and networking were also organized, along with the announcement of a special holiday package.

More than 100 Bangladeshi tour operators, as well as tourism entrepreneurs and stakeholders from both countries, attended the fair. The BTTF, noted as the largest tourism expo of Bangladesh, was organized from October 30 to November 1, with a total of 10 tourism companies participating.

A team led by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) included 16 tour operators and representatives of travel agencies and hotels. This international forum is considered a significant opportunity for Nepali tourism entrepreneurs and NTB to strengthen regional cooperation, international relations, and promote Nepal as a destination for ‘Lifetime Experience’.
