Kirati-Led Samajbadi Morcha Merges Into Maoist Centre

Kathmandu: The Deshbhakta Samajbadi Morcha, led by Gopal Kirati, has rejoined the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) nearly eight years after its split from the party. The Morcha was initially formed following a separation from the Maoist Centre.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Maoist Centre Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Morcha Chairperson Gopal Kiranti formalized the merger by signing an agreement. The agreement emphasizes the necessity of unity among revolutionaries to guide the country effectively in the current situation. Both parties have committed to objectively reviewing previous ideological, political, and organizational issues, and to engaging in structured discussions within the party regarding the socialist democracy concept proposed by the Morcha.
