Diktel: Mayor of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality, Tirtha Raj Bhattarai, and his family members have established a revolving fund in memory of their mother, late Padam Kumari Bhattarai. The initiative, named ‘Guna-Laxmi-Padam Kumari Revolving Fund-2082’, is aimed at supporting the development of the education sector.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the fund was set up at Bidyodaya Secondary School located at Dorpacheuridanda. The Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Saharman Rai, announced that a total of Rs 202,222 was deposited into the fund in its first phase.
Padam Kumari, who was a mother to seven children, passed away on Kartik 16, 2081 BS, at the age of 88. Mayor Bhattarai expressed that the revolving fund was created to aid students attending the local school, ensuring their educational growth and opportunities.
The school mentioned that the interest generated from the revolving fund would be utilized for prize distribution and educational activities on an annual basis, contributing to the school’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational outcomes.
