National Life and NLG Insurance Contribute Substantial Funds for Reconstruction Efforts


Kathmandu: The National Life Insurance Company Limited has committed a significant contribution of Rs 10 million towards the reconstruction of physical structures that were damaged during the Gen Z Uprising on September 8-9.



According to National News Agency Nepal, NLG Insurance Company Limited has also extended its support by donating Rs 2.5 million for the same cause. The Chief Executive Officer of National Life, Suresh Prasad Khatry, along with the Chief Executive Officer of NLG Insurance, Sunil Ballav Pant, personally handed over the financial contributions to the reconstruction fund set up by the Government of Nepal.



The contributions were made official as separate cheques were presented to the Minister for Finance, Rameswor Khanal, on behalf of the companies. With these donations, the government fund aimed at rebuilding the affected infrastructure has now amassed over Rs 75.1 million, as confirmed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, Tanka Prasad Pandey.
