Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has announced a reshuffle in the responsibilities of various department heads. The changes were made through a ministerial decision aimed at enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and organization of the ministry’s operations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Ministry Spokesperson Dr Prakash Budhathoki stated that the responsibilities of senior-level employees have been reassigned. This decision affects the heads of several divisions, including the Family Welfare Division, the National Health Education, Information and Communication Centre, the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), and the Management Division.
As part of the reshuffle, Dr Madan Kumar Upadhyay has been appointed as Director of the Family Welfare Division, Dr Radhika Thapaliya has taken the role of Director of the National Health Education, Information and Communication Centre, Keshav Pandit has been named Head of the Management Division, and Dr Roshan Neupane has assumed the position of Director of EDCD.
Additionally, Dr Pawan Jung Rayamajhi has been transferred to the position of Director of the Therapeutic Services Division, as confirmed by spokesperson Dr Budhathoki.
