Kathmandu: Chairperson of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has stressed the importance of lifting the country out of attempts that aim to unsettle society and undermine human values. He highlighted that the country’s focus should be on progress rather than disruption.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Oli addressed leaders and cadres at his residence in Gundu, where he claimed that certain elements were attempting to thwart the national ambition of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis’ as promoted by the UML-led government. He criticized the practice of launching protests through unruly and violent activities, which he said contradicted the Nepali tradition of respectfully expressing dissatisfaction.
In addition, the former Prime Minister remarked on the government’s decision to recall Nepali ambassadors from various countries, stating that it went against an interim order of the Supreme Court and brought disrepute to the judiciary.
During the event, Oli also released a collection of songs authored by Ramesh Lama.
