Kathmandu: The National Youth Association has filed a complaint at the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police against Balendra Sah, commonly known as Balen, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), over his remarks on social media.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Association, which is closely affiliated with the CPN UML, approached Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau located in Bhotahiti, Kathmandu. They lodged a complaint against Mayor Balendra, demanding legal action in response to his statements about Nepal’s major political parties, neighboring countries, and friendly nations.
Maharaj Gurung, the Vice Chairman of the Association, stated that they had a meeting with the Chief of the Cyber Bureau, DIG Nabinda Aryal, during which they submitted their application. The Bureau has indicated that it will review the complaint and make an informed decision regarding the next steps.
