Kathmandu: Gagan Kumar Thapa, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has asserted that the forthcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election on Falgun 21 (March 5) will steer the constitution in the right direction. He emphasized that the election will establish a new parliament and properly guide the constitution. General Secretary Thapa remarked, ‘The election set for March 5 is the sole avenue to align the constitution correctly; there is no doubt about this.’
According to National News Agency Nepal, Thapa highlighted that the party has already articulated its stance during the all-party meeting led by the Prime Minister. Additionally, he underscored the importance of convening a party general convention prior to the election. Thapa believes that the policies and leadership arising from this convention will empower the Congress to effectively compete in the upcoming election.
