Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has demolished structures constructed by Khadka Land Developer Pvt Ltd on Lainchour-based land belonging to Nepal Scouts.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Nepal Scouts had issued a seven-day notice on November 6 to Khadka Land Developer to pay outstanding arrears. The Nepal Scouts requested the KMC to remove the structures after the company failed to pay the dues by the specified deadline.
Chief of Metropolitan Police Force, Raju Nath Pandey, informed RSS that a team from the Metropolitan Police Force carried out the demolition at the Nepal Scouts’ request. He noted that various structures, including a party palace and restaurants, were erected on the Scouts’ land without having their blueprint maps approved by the municipal authority.
