Makawanpur: Two people have died in a motorcycle accident on the Bungdalkhola Bridge located on the border of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-5 and Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-1 in Makawanpur.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Makawanpur District Police Office identified the deceased as motorcycle rider, 39-year-old Bir Bahadur Gurung from Chauki Tol, Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City-2, and pillion rider, 35-year-old Chandra Bahadur Gurung from Kawasoti Municipality-13, East Nawalparasi, who was currently residing in Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City-2.
The tragic incident occurred when the motorcycle, bearing the number Ba Pra 03-005 Pa 7980, fell 50 feet down from Bungdalkhola in the morning. The bodies were taken to Hetauda Hospital for a post-mortem examination, as informed by District Police Office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
