Gauradaha: A tragic road accident in Jhapa has claimed the life of Khushbu Khatun, 37, near Gairiya Chowk in Gauradaha Municipality-1. The accident involved an auto-rickshaw and a paddy-laden mini truck.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the auto-rickshaw, bearing the registration number Me 1 H 5754, was traveling from Gairiya Chowk to Gauradaha when it collided with the rear of the mini truck, registered as Province 1-02-001 Kha 9093. The collision resulted in serious injuries to the auto-rickshaw driver, Mohammad Doma, 48, a resident of Gauradaha-1, who suffered injuries to his left hand.
Khushbu Khatun, who was also on the auto-rickshaw, sustained severe injuries and succumbed to them while receiving treatment at Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar. The incident was confirmed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khagendra Bahadur Khadka from the District Police Office.
