UAE Ambassador Discusses Bilateral Relations with Nepal’s Vice President


Kathmandu: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nepal Saeed Mubarak Jarwan Al Shamsi paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav at the latter’s office on Thursday.



According to National News Agency Nepal, discussions were held on bilateral relations, high-level visits, labor issues, as well as economic and multilateral cooperation. Vice President Yadav highlighted that the relations between Nepal and the UAE have advanced on the basis of mutual trust, friendship, and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations in 1977.



Vice President Yadav also expressed gratitude towards the UAE government for granting amnesty to 286 Nepali citizens on the occasion of Ramadan this year. He emphasized the potential for economic cooperation between Nepal and the UAE, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, clean energy, tourism, and drinking water.



During the meeting, Ambassador Saeed Mubarak Jarwan Al Shamsi recalled the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the UAE in 2025, noting it as a significant achievement in the history of bilateral relations. The UAE Ambassador further stated that the UAE government is prepared to establish a skill development center in Nepal for Nepali workers and is ready to cooperate with Nepal in the fields of energy, technology, and other areas.
