Lumbini: The Winter Session of the Lumbini Province Assembly is set to commence today with the first meeting of the seventh session scheduled to convene at 1:00 pm. Speaker Tul Bahadur Gharti will preside over the assembly’s proceedings.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Speaker Gharti is expected to read out three letters from the Office of the Province Chief during the meeting. These letters pertain to matters including the seventh session of the province assembly, a reshuffle of the council of ministers, and the authentication of various bills approved during the sixth session of the province assembly.
Members of the province assembly are anticipated to present their views on behalf of their respective political parties during the session. Additionally, several bills, including one aimed at amending the Facilities of District Assembly and District Coordination Committee Act, 2075 BS, have been registered in the province assembly secretariat for consideration.
Furthermore, the council of ministers has sanctioned additional bills to be tabled during this session of the province assembly.
