Myagdi: The Myagdi section of the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road has been blacktopped after a prolonged wait of 19 years. Out of the total 33 kilometers stretching from Beni to Kavrebhir, which marks the border of Mustang, the road has been successfully blacktopped.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Engineer Bishnu Chapagain of the road project reported that the road was expanded to a width of 11 meters before being blacktopped. Specifically, 11 kilometers of the 16.5-kilometer Nagdhunga-Kaikukhola section have been blacktopped with an investment of Rs 630 million.
Furthermore, a 15-kilometer stretch of the 19-kilometer Rahughat-Nagdhunga section has been blacktopped at a cost of Rs 660 million. The project also includes the construction of motorable bridges at Rahughat, Begkhola, Mahabhir, Kaligandaki of Pokharebagar, and Ghattekhola of Dana. Additionally, bailey bridges have been installed over Bhurungkhola and Rupsekhola.
