Chitwan: Pakistan has provided monetary assistance of Rs 1 million to the Bharatpur Eye Hospital. At a programme organized in the hospital premises, Chitwan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, handed over a cheque to support the paperless digitization of Bharatpur Eye Hospital (BEH).
According to National News Agency Nepal, the support aims to assist BEH to upgrade its infrastructure and efficiency through an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and fully digitize administrative and clinical processes, as stated by the Pakistani Embassy in a press statement.
Ambassador Hashmi noted that Pakistan has a history of collaboration with the hospital, contributing to its development and capacity building since it was built with the financial help of the BCCI Foundation of Pakistan in 1987. In recent years, the Pakistan Embassy has added a pharmacy, operating theatres, an outreach ambulance, and exchanges in the field of eye care and medical cooperation.
