Khajuwapatti: An irrigation facility was set up at Khajuwapatti in Shuklaphanta Municipality-1, Khanchanpur. The Dhangadhi-based Groundwater Irrigation Office of the Sudurpaschim Province Government supported Rs 5 million for the installation of a deep boring machine to provide irrigation facilities in all seasons in the farmlands there.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairman of Shuklaphanta Municipality-1, Uttar Dev Bhatta, stated that the deep boring machine is sufficient to irrigate 60 bigha of land. In addition to the installation of the boring machine, regular power supply, as well as the provision of valves and pipelines, have been expanded to ensure an uninterrupted irrigation facility.
Some 200 farmers from the area are directly benefiting from the new irrigation facility, which is now accessible in all seasons. Prior to this development, farmers in Khajuwapatti faced significant challenges in irrigating their farms, and agricultural yield was limited due to drought in the dry season.

cal farmer Ratan Chaudhary expressed optimism about the facility, hoping to grow a good quantity of crops, paddy, and wheat with the availability of consistent irrigation.
