Kathmandu: The ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup is set to commence in the UAE on Friday, featuring an exciting lineup of matches. On the opening day, India will face the host team UAE, while Pakistan will compete against Malaysia.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Nepali cricket team has already arrived in the UAE to participate in the tournament. Placed in group ‘B’, Nepal is scheduled to face Sri Lanka on Saturday. Their second match is slated against Bangladesh on December 15, followed by a game against Afghanistan on December 17. All of Nepal’s matches will be held at the Sevens Stadium.
The tournament features a total of eight teams, divided into groups ‘A’ and ‘B’. The Nepali squad includes players such as Ashok Dhami (Captain), Niraj Kumar Yadav, Dilsad Ali, and Avishekh Tiwari, among others. The team is eager to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best young cricketers in the region.
