Kathmandu: The 12th general convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is scheduled to take place from February 23 to 25 in Kathmandu. The decision was made during a meeting of the steering committee held on Sunday following an agreement among different NRNA groups to hold the Unity General Convention.
According to National News Agency Nepal, NRNA General Secretaries Gauri Raj Joshi and BR Lama issued a joint press release announcing the date for the general convention. The steering committee meeting also resolved various matters concerning organizational unity and internal management. To further these goals, a five-member ‘NCC Unity Committee’ was established, led by Gangadhar Gautam, to finalize the unification with the National Coordination Committee (NCC).
Tika Gurung has been appointed as the Joint-Coordinator of the Committee, with Shani Oli, Narayan Kafle, and Chiranjivi Khadka serving as members. The Association also plans to organize regional-level interactions and dialogues to spread the message of NRNA unity among Nepalis worldwide.
