Kathmandu: Ukrainian film producer Polina Piddubna is set to host a two-day stop-motion animation workshop in the city. The event aims to guide participants in creating animated videos and exploring human emotions through the medium of animation. It is scheduled to take place at the Taragaun Museum in Jorpati on December 27 and 28.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the workshop will also feature a screening of Polina’s film, “My Grandma Is a Skydiver,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Polina, originally from Ukraine, is currently based in Berlin, Germany. She holds a bachelor’s degree in animation and works as an animation director at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam, Germany.
The animations produced during the workshop will be showcased on January 3, 2026, providing participants an opportunity to present their work to a broader audience.
