Bhojpur: An 18-day community disaster volunteer training has begun in Bhojpur district headquarters with the aim of contributing to disaster preparedness and management. The training is hosted by the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 5 Battalion Headquarters Taksar in coordination with Bhojpur Municipality. A total of 32 people from the local wards are participating in the training.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the training will provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, and capacity building on various topics including disaster management, rescue, first aid, road accident risk, and mitigation. The Battalion Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police, Dibyaraj Koirala, shared insights into the program’s comprehensive approach to equipping volunteers with essential skills for effective disaster response.
