Chankheli: Purna Bahadur Rawat, 39, of Barekot Rural Municipality-4 in Jajarkot district, has been missing for a week. He disappeared while in search of medicinal herbs in Tankelek, located on the border of Humla and Mugu districts.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Rawat was with three other individuals who were detained by officials of the Forest Users’ Committee during their search for herbs. Rawat went out at night to use the toilet and did not return, reportedly heading towards Mugu, as stated by Ward Chair of Chankheli Rural Municipality-5, Harka Tamang.
The District Police Office in Humla has confirmed that a missing complaint was filed by Rawat’s relatives at the Piplang Police Station on Saturday. Authorities have commenced a search operation in hopes of locating him.
