Networking Workshop Focuses on Enhancing Cooperation in WASH Sector Training


Kathmandu: A day-long networking workshop was organized to strengthen collaboration among government training centers with the aim of making capacity development in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector more effective, coordinated, and sustainable. The event saw notable participation from key government training institutions operating at the federal, provincial, and local levels. It was held at the National Water Supply and Sanitation Research, Innovation and Capacity Development Centre.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the workshop played an important role in identifying the potential for mutual understanding, exchange of experiences, and long-term cooperation among the government training institutions related to the WASH sector. The main objective was to discuss training approaches, best practices, learnings, experiences, and challenges in the training system, as well as to identify areas for shared solutions and collaboration.



The workshop saw active participation from the heads and representatives of major government training institutions including the National Water and Sanitation Research, Innovation and Capacity Development Centre, Local Development Training Academy, Nepal Administrative Staff College, Training Institute for Technical Instruction, and the National Health Training Centre. The representatives of these government training bodies expressed their commitment to enhance the human and institutional capacity of the WASH sector by maintaining regular coordination, sharing experiences, and conducting joint programs in the coming days.
