According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister’s press advisor, Ram Bahadur Rawal, stated that Karki’s visit was aimed at thanking government employees, security forces, and local residents for their significant contributions to the electoral process. The election was conducted by the interim government that was formed on 12 September 2025, under Karki’s leadership. This formation followed the Gen Z movement that took place on September 8-9.
Karki’s visit highlights the government’s acknowledgment of the efforts taken by various sections of society to ensure the election was conducted smoothly and efficiently. The interim government has been pivotal in steering the nation through this political transition, marking a significant period in the country’s democratic process.
