Kathmandu: CPN (UML) chairperson KP Sharma Oli has directed lawmakers elected from his party to perform with determination in favour of the country and the people, emphasizing the need to remain resolute despite the recent poll results.

According to National News Agency Nepal, at a programme organized at the party’s central office in Chyasal, immediately following the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected House of Representatives (HoR) members, Oli instructed his parliamentarians in both the HoR and National Assembly to prioritize public interest and nation-building.

The former Prime Minister reflected on his past contributions to the country and the people, urging lawmakers to focus on strengthening the nation’s path to prosperity. He expressed readiness to face any misleading propaganda against him and his party, emphasizing the importance of unity in deterring potential uncivilized and misconceived attacks.

Chair Oli also commented on the current state of global politics, highlighting the prevalence of anarchism and the diminishing effectiveness of international bodies such as the United Nations.
