Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has expressed the government’s eagerness to further strengthen relations with friendly countries. During a meeting with heads of various diplomatic missions in Nepal and ambassadors at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Shah emphasized the government’s prioritization of international relations, focusing on partnerships based on mutual benefits and trust.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Shah stated that Nepal is adopting a balanced and practical foreign policy, aligning its foreign relations with the objectives of achieving prosperity. He extended gratitude to all partners and friends for their continuous support and goodwill towards Nepal’s development goals and prosperity.
The Prime Minister highlighted the shared priority of peace, noting that ongoing global conflicts predominantly affect ordinary people. He called for collective efforts to address this priority. Shah also reiterated the government’s commitment to creating an environment conducive to investment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, ensuring political stability, and maintaining stable and predictable policy directives.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Shah expressed the government’s willingness to collaborate in various areas such as development, trade, investment, climate adaptation activities, and enhancing people-to-people relations. He noted that the security and welfare of Nepalis abroad remain a priority for the government.
