Members Nominated to Key Parliamentary Committees


Kathmandu: Members have been nominated to the Parliamentary Hearing Committee and the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the State Committee from the National Assembly. The nominations were made in line with the Joint Meeting and Joint Committee (Work Operation) regulations of the Federal Parliament, as stated by the Federal Parliament Secretariat.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Parliamentary Hearing Committee will now include Ananda Prasad Dhungana, Nar Bahadur Bista, and Prem Prasad Dangal. These nominations aim to bolster the committee’s function in scrutinizing significant appointments and legislative proposals.



In a similar vein, the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee will see the inclusion of Kiran Babu Shrestha, Madan Kumari Shah (Garima), and Dr. Anjan Shakya. This committee plays a crucial role in assessing the implementation of state policies and ensuring compliance with the directive principles.



The Federal Parliament’s regulations stipulate the nomination of members from both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly to these committees, reflecting a balanced representation in parliamentary oversight functions.
