Senior Journalist Dhrubahari Adhikary Donates 100 Books and Magazines to Rastriya Samachar Samiti Library


Kathmandu: Senior journalist Dhrubahari Adhikary has handed over 100 books and news and literary magazines to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), the National News Agency of Nepal. Among the donated items are notable literary magazines such as ‘Madhuparka’, ‘Ruparekha’, and ‘Garima’, which have significantly contributed to the promotion of Nepali language, literature, culture, history, and arts. Additionally, the collection includes the book ‘Asali Aathkanda Ramayana’.



According to National News Agency Nepal, besides his career in journalism, Adhikary, a former chairman of the Nepal Press Institute (NPI), holds a special interest in the Nepali language, grammar, security, and diplomacy. During the book handover event, RSS General Manager Sandip Rai expressed gratitude to Adhikary for providing a valuable collection of works by Nepal’s renowned writers, along with old issues of noted literary magazines like Madhuparka and Garima.



Adhikary expressed confidence that the collection would serve as a significant resource for the RSS library. He highlighted that the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, being a source of information and news, would benefit from the enriched collection of books and magazines.
