Ljubljana:Sudurpashim Province Though rainfall remains within the normal range across most areas of Sudurpashim Province, the risk of heavy monsoon rainfall has decreased.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Nepal Meteorological Department’s Field Office in Attariya reports that a monsoon trough originating from the Bay of Bengal has gradually weakened, reducing the likelihood of heavy rainfall. The province has experienced continuous rain since September 25.
Engineer Sanjay Kumar Shah, the chief of the office, stated that the low-pressure system has begun to weaken since this afternoon. However, he emphasized that caution is still necessary. There remains a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the Terai region this afternoon, while moderate rainfall is likely across the province from tonight.
The weather is expected to be generally cloudy in the mountainous, hilly, and Terai regions of the province this afternoon. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning could occur in many areas, with heavy rain possible in isolated spots.
From tonight, the province will likely experience generally cloudy conditions, with the possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas. By next Wednesday, most regions are anticipated to experience partly cloudy conditions, with chances of moderate rain in certain locations. In contrast, the Terai region is expected to have generally clear skies at night.
