Betrawati:Nuwakot Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, attended a special worship ritual, known as ‘Ghewa’, to honor those who perished in the Rasuwa-Bhotekoshi flood.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the ritual took place at Betrawati, where Buddhist monks performed traditional ceremonies. Dahal offered his heartfelt condolences to the victims during the event.
The ceremony was held on the 49th day after the devastating flood, aiming to pray for the peace of the deceased’s souls. Dahal visited Nuwakot to hand over temporary shelters constructed by YCL Nepal for families who were displaced by the flood and took the opportunity to participate in the ‘ghewa’ ritual to pay his respects.
